The Adamawa State Membership Revalidation, Mobilization and Registration (MRMR) Committee of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has directed all party members and intending members across the state to strictly comply with the officially approved registration and revalidation process.In a statement issued on Monday and signed by Martins Yanatham Dickson, Head of Media and Publicity, ADC Adamawa State Transition Implementation Committee, the committee said the directive was issued under the leadership of Ambassador Omar Suleiman (Dokaji Adamawa), who chairs the state MRMR Committee.The committee declared that all old registration cards and registers currently in circulation are null, void and of no official value, stressing that such documents were neither issued nor endorsed by the duly recognized MRMR structure sanctioned by the party’s National Headquarters.“For the avoidance of doubt, all old registration cards and old registers purportedly in circulation are invalid and will not be recognized as valid instruments of membership within the ADC,” the statement said.According to the committee, the ongoing MRMR exercise in Adamawa State remains the only legitimate and nationally recognized framework for membership documentation, data harmonization and structural consolidation of the party.It explained that the exercise is aimed at ensuring transparency, credibility and the development of an accurate membership database that reflects the true strength of the party across all local governments, wards and units in the state.The committee advised members of the public to ensure that their details are captured exclusively in the new official registers issued under the authority of Ambassador Omar Suleiman, warning that any registration conducted outside the approved structure would not be valid and should be disregarded.It further cautioned that the party would disassociate itself from any unauthorized registration activities carried out by individuals or groups operating outside the established MRMR framework.Reaffirming its commitment to strengthening the party’s structure, the committee called on loyal members and new entrants to cooperate fully with the MRMR team as it works to reposition the ADC for greater political engagement and service delivery in Adamawa State.The statement was dated February 17, 2026.
