Gov. Fintiri Declares 3 Days of Mourning for Late Special Adviser Abdulrahman Bobboi

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has declared a three-day period of mourning following the death of his Special Adviser on Political Affairs, Abdulrahman Bobboi, who passed away on Wednesday.

The Governor also directed that the national flag be flown at half-mast at all public buildings and public grounds across the state throughout the mourning period, as a mark of honour and respect for the late political aide.

Governor Fintiri described Bobboi’s death as painful and a huge loss to the government and people of Adamawa State, noting that the late adviser served with passion, loyalty, and uncommon commitment.“The deceased served with passion and commitment, leaving no one in doubt that he was a dependable aide and worthy assistant. Such a loss is deeply hurting, especially considering the vacuum created by his demise,” the Governor said.

He added that Abdulrahman Bobboi’s life was defined by unwavering dedication to public service and significant contributions to the growth and consolidation of democracy in the state and the country at large.

“His leadership reflected discipline, commitment, and a deep sense of patriotism,” Fintiri noted, urging the family to take solace in the record of impeccable service the late adviser rendered to the government and the people of Adamawa with honesty and selflessness.

On behalf of the government and people of the state, the Governor extended heartfelt condolences to the Bobboi family, describing the passing of the Special Adviser as a great loss not only to his immediate family but to the entire state.Governor Fintiri also called on residents of Adamawa State to observe the declared period of mourning with solemnity and respect.The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Humwashi Wonosikou.
