The Adamawa State Transition Implementation Committee of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), chaired by Rt. Hon. Sadiq Ibrahim Dasin, has commenced the inauguration of Local Government Transition Committees across the state, beginning with Madagali and Michika.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony in Gulak, Madagali Local Government Area, Dasin urged committee members to strictly adhere to the guidelines establishing the transition bodies and to work with dedication to strengthen the party’s grassroots presence. He expressed delight at the impressive turnout despite the low-key nature of invitations, describing the enthusiasm as evidence of the ADC’s growing influence in the region.
Dasin also tasked party leaders in Madagali with ensuring inclusivity in their operations and developing strategic approaches to attract new members ahead of the party’s forthcoming membership registration and revalidation exercise.

Reaffirming the party’s commitment to youth and women empowerment, he revealed that the ADC plans to reserve up to 60 percent of its structure for young people and women, urging them to take ownership of the party’s vision and contribute meaningfully to its progress.
Earlier, Hon. Yahaya Hamanjulde restated the directive of the National Working Committee authorising the North-East Zonal Chairman, Engr. Babachir David Lawal, to inaugurate the State Transition Committee — a mandate that also extends to the inauguration of local government and ward-level transition structures.
At the Michika inauguration, Hon. Fakuta Naiwa reassured women of their central role in the party, emphasizing that the ADC constitution provides strong protection and promotion of women’s political participation.
The State Transition Committee expressed deep appreciation to the National Chairman of the party, Senator David Mark; the North-East Zonal Chairman Engr. Babachir David Lawal; former Vice President Atiku Abubakar (Waziri Adamawa); Senator Bindow Jibrilla; Senator Abdulazeez Nyako; Ambassador Omar Suleiman; Modibbo H. Tukur; Senator Ishaku Abbo; Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani; Mr. Daniel Bwala; and other key stakeholders whose continued support strengthens the party’s activities across Adamawa State.
The inauguration exercises in both Madagali and Michika were personally conducted by Rt. Hon. Sadiq Ibrahim Dasin in his capacity as Chairman of the State Transition and Implementation Committee
