Adamawa APC Highlights Tinubu’s Two-Year Achievements, Endorses Party’s Grassroots Reconnection Drive

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s performance in office, describing his two-year scorecard as “monumental and transformative.” Party stakeholders also hailed the appointment of Mallam Nuhu Ribadu as National Security Adviser, calling it a “masterstroke” that has strengthened Nigeria’s security architecture and restored global confidence in the nation’s governance.

This is contained in a press statement issued by the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the NTAC DG, Nkem Anyata-Lafia The commendations were made at a one-day grassroots engagement and sensitization meeting organized in Yola by APC lawmakers in the Adamawa State House of Assembly.

The event, attended by top party leaders and supporters from across the state and neighbouring regions, was aimed at strengthening internal party unity and reconnecting with the grassroots ahead of the 2027 elections.Delivering the keynote address, Director General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), Rt. Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub, praised President Tinubu for taking bold economic and infrastructural decisions that have repositioned Nigeria for sustainable growth.Buba cited major ongoing projects, including the construction of the 750-kilometre superhighway from Calabar to Lagos, the Sokoto–Badagry corridor, and the Akwanga–Gombe–Yola highway, as evidence of Tinubu’s vision to open up Nigeria’s hinterlands and promote national integration.

He also mentioned the new Southeast rail corridors and multiple road projects linking Calabar to Abuja as part of the administration’s transformative agenda.He noted that the President’s decision to remove fuel subsidy and float the Naira were courageous moves that no leader had attempted in decades.“From his first day in office, President Tinubu took a bold step that changed Nigeria’s economic narrative. Removing the fuel subsidy and floating the Naira have saved the country trillions of naira and increased state revenues,” Buba said.

“These reforms have turned Nigeria from a nation that imported petrol despite abundant crude oil, to one that now exports refined products.”Buba further applauded the appointment of Mallam Nuhu Ribadu as NSA, describing it as a “well-deserved recognition of merit” that has yielded tangible security improvements nationwide.

He called on citizens to rally behind President Tinubu for a second term, assuring that the benefits of his reforms would become even more visible in the coming years.In his remarks, APC National Vice Chairman (Northeast), Barr. Salisu Mustapha, compared Nigeria’s security situation before and after the Tinubu administration, asserting that the difference was clear.

He praised the party’s renewed efforts at mobilizing members and supporters through grassroots sensitization, noting that such engagement was vital to reclaiming Adamawa for the APC in 2027.“This gathering marks the beginning of a broader engagement process across all wards in Adamawa. We must carry the message of progress and continuity to every community,” Mustapha said.

The meeting also featured goodwill messages from members of the APC National Executive Committee, State Working Committee, Local Government and Ward Executives, and party leaders from Taraba and Gombe States. The event concluded with a unanimous endorsement of President Tinubu and other party leaders, signaling the APC’s readiness to consolidate its grassroots support base and sustain its reform agenda.
