Ramadan: Sen. Binos Gifts 4,856 Bags of Rice, Other Food Items to Support Constituents

In a remarkable show of generosity and dedication to the well-being of his constituents, Senator (Rev.) Binos Dauda Yaroe has distributed 4,856 bags of rice, 2,000 bags of sugar, 2,000 bags of spaghetti, and 246 gallons of groundnut oil to support the less privileged during the Holy Month of Ramadan and also for the lent season. The initiative, covering all nine Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the Adamawa Southern Senatorial District, underscores the senator’s unwavering commitment to social welfare and religious inclusivity.

Each ward within the nine LGAs received 50 bags of rice, ensuring that the elderly and the vulnerable, regardless of political or ethnic background, benefit from the palliative measures. To facilitate seamless distribution, Senator Binos allocated ₦2.4 million for transportation and logistics, enabling coordinators to deliver the items efficiently to the intended beneficiaries.

Addressing the press before the distribution, Senator Binos, represented by Hon. Adiyel Kurga, emphasized the importance of supporting constituents at this critical period of Ramadan. He reaffirmed his commitment to alleviating hardship, particularly for those observing the fast and struggling with the economic realities of the time.

“People are going through difficult situations due to the high cost of living. This intervention is aimed at reducing hardship and ensuring that families have enough to sustain them during Ramadan,” he stated.

The distribution was meticulously planned, with three coordinators assigned to each LGA and additional ward and unit coordinators ensuring a fair and transparent process. Hon. Yosi Isaiah Leru, coordinator for Jada LGA, highlighted that the structure put in place guarantees the palliatives reach the grassroots. She reassured the public that transparency remains a priority and that beneficiaries would receive their due share.

Mr. Robinson Raymond, coordinator for Guyuk LGA, noted that Senator Binos has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to the welfare of his people, particularly the less privileged and the physically challenged. He emphasized that this gesture is part of ongoing efforts to cushion economic hardship and provide relief during the fasting period.

Echoing similar sentiments, Haj. Maryamu Shelleng Isa, coordinator for Shelleng LGA, commended the senator’s dedication to fairness and accountability in the distribution process. She assured that the palliatives would reach those in genuine need, in line with Senator Binos’s instructions.

“This distribution comes at a perfect time. Many families who started Ramadan with sufficient provisions are now in need. Senator Binos’s generosity is a true reflection of his concern for all, irrespective of background,” she stated.

To further ensure efficiency, financial support for transportation and logistics was disbursed as follows: Guyuk, Shelleng, Lamurde, and Toungo LGAs received ₦500,000 each; Numan received ₦460,000, while Demsa and Jada received ₦420,000 and ₦400,000, respectively.

Senator Binos’s intervention during Ramadan highlights his dedication to the welfare of his constituents and his commitment to fostering religious harmony and social justice. His continuous efforts to address the needs of the people reflect his belief in inclusive leadership and service to humanity.
