FCT, Abuja – February 17, 2025
The Obidient Movement, a key political force advocating for transformational leadership and national reform in Nigeria, convened a pivotal Harmonisation Forum Workshop at Pelmac Apartment Suites in Abuja. The workshop, themed “Strengthening Political Movement in Nigeria: Strategies for Effective Organization and Mass Mobilization,” gathered state chairmen, movement leaders, and dedicated supporters from across the country to discuss the roadmap to the 2027 elections.
In his keynote address, Hon. Joseph Enan Maigari, the National Chairman of the Obidient Movement, emphasized the urgency of political reformation and the crucial role the movement must play in shaping Nigeria’s future. He highlighted the need for unity, strategic coordination, and grassroots mobilization to ensure victory in 2027.
“This is more than just a workshop; it is a rallying call for national reform,” Maigari stated. “Our collective strength and commitment will determine our success in building a Nigeria that upholds justice, equity, and progress.”
The chairman reaffirmed the movement’s unwavering support for His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi, whose leadership and vision continue to inspire millions. He also commended Dr. Tanko Yunusa, a global leader of the movement, for his relentless efforts in fostering coordination and growth within the Obidient Movement, ensuring that their message reaches every corner of the nation.
At the heart of discussions were the 5Cs for a New Nigeria—Competence, Character, Capacity, Credibility, and Compassion. Maigari underscored the importance of these principles, citing Singapore’s transformation as an example of what can be achieved through dedicated and visionary leadership.
“Singapore rose from a struggling post-colonial state to a global economic powerhouse through strategic governance and ethical leadership. Nigeria must follow suit by electing leaders who prioritize the national interest over personal gain,” he asserted.
The workshop served as a platform for delegates to devise strategies for broad-based political engagement, strengthening grassroots structures, and expanding the movement’s influence in preparation for the 2027 elections. Participants discussed voter education, countering political apathy, and fostering a governance culture rooted in accountability and transparency.
The event concluded with a resolute commitment from attendees to actively mobilize support and advocate for reform-driven leadership. Hon. Maigari urged members to stay determined, stating, “The road to 2027 is challenging, but with strategic planning, unity, and relentless effort, we will secure the future of Nigeria. The time for action is now.”
As the 2027 elections draw closer, the Obidient Movement is set to play a crucial role in redefining Nigeria’s political landscape, ensuring that governance is rooted in integrity, competence, and the will of the people.
