Peter Obi Harmonization Forum Inaugurates FCT Chapter, Charts a Path for a New Nigeria

Abuja, Nigeria — The Peter Obi Harmonization Forum (POHF) took a significant step toward redefining Nigeria’s future with the inauguration of its Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chapter on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Held at the prestigious Nigeria National Merit Award in Maitama, Abuja, the event brought together a diverse assembly of leaders, dignitaries, and members of the Obidient Movement, all united under the mantra, “A New Nigeria is Possible: From Consumption to Production.”

A Call for Transformation
In his keynote address, Comrade Joseph Enan Maigari, National Chairman of the Peter Obi Harmonization Forum, delivered a passionate speech calling for urgent action to rebuild Nigeria. “Our nation stands at a crossroads,” he declared. “The challenges of poverty, insecurity, unemployment, and corruption have dimmed the dreams of millions. But together, we can reignite hope and chart a path toward a New Nigeria.”
Maigari emphasized the need for unity and collaboration, celebrating the Obidient Movement’s progress despite Nigeria’s political and socioeconomic struggles. “This movement is not just about one man or one party; it is about every Nigerian who dreams of a just and equitable nation,” he added.
Key Figures in Attendance
The event attracted prominent figures, including representatives of Peter Obi, Dr. Moses Paul, and Senator Nenadi Usman. Other dignitaries included Dr. Tanko Yunusa, the interim national coordinator of the Obidient Movement Worldwide, Hon. Sunday Bala Oma, and Big Tent FCT Chairman Bar Dennis Gapsiso. Special recognition was given to Mayor Dr. Kingsley Kelachukwu Okoronkwo, FCT Chairman of POHF and aspiring candidate for the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) chairmanship in the upcoming 2025/26 elections.
A Movement Rebranded for Unity
The forum announced a strategic name change from Obidient Harmonization Movement (OHM) to Peter Obi Harmonization Forum (POHF), citing the need to avoid confusion with the Obidient Movement Worldwide and to foster unity. “This rebranding strengthens our shared mission to support His Excellency Peter Obi and ensures that all efforts align toward a singular, transformative goal,” Maigari explained.
Confronting National Challenges
The forum acknowledged Nigeria’s pressing issues, including a leadership crisis within the Labour Party. Despite these challenges, Maigari pointed to the resilience of the Obidient Movement. “This is a movement of integrity and conviction, transcending party lines and giving Nigerians a renewed sense of hope,” he said.
A Vision for the Future
Highlighting the forum’s roadmap, Maigari outlined strategic actions to fortify the movement’s grassroots presence, engage the Nigerian diaspora, and build a robust political platform. “The time for talking is over. Now is the time for action,” he urged. “Together, we must hold our leaders accountable and demand a government that prioritizes the welfare of every Nigerian.”
Renewed Hope in Leadership
The forum reaffirmed its unwavering support for Peter Obi and Dr. Tanko Yunusa, heralding their leadership as exemplars of integrity and dedication. “Peter Obi has proven that governance can be honest and people-centered,” Maigari said. “With leaders like him, a New Nigeria is not just a dream—it is an achievable reality.”
Conclusion
As the event concluded, Maigari left attendees with a rallying cry: “The question is no longer whether a New Nigeria is possible; it is whether we are ready to do what it takes to achieve it. Together, as Obidients, we will build a nation that works for all.”
The POHF inauguration in Abuja marked not just a symbolic milestone but a clarion call for every Nigerian to join the movement for change. With the collective resolve of its supporters, the vision of a New Nigeria seems within reach.
Long Live the Peter Obi Harmonization Forum. Long Live the Obidient Movement Worldwide.
