Abuja, Nigeria — The Peter Obi Harmonization Forum (POHF) took a significant step toward redefining Nigeria’s future with the inauguration of its Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chapter on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Held at the prestigious Nigeria National Merit Award in Maitama, Abuja, the event brought together a diverse assembly of leaders, dignitaries, and members of the Obidient Movement, all united under the mantra, “A New Nigeria is Possible: From Consumption to Production.”

In his keynote address, Comrade Joseph Enan Maigari, National Chairman of the Peter Obi Harmonization Forum, delivered a passionate speech calling for urgent action to rebuild Nigeria. “Our nation stands at a crossroads,” he declared. “The challenges of poverty, insecurity, unemployment, and corruption have dimmed the dreams of millions. But together, we can reignite hope and chart a path toward a New Nigeria.”

The forum announced a strategic name change from Obidient Harmonization Movement (OHM) to Peter Obi Harmonization Forum (POHF), citing the need to avoid confusion with the Obidient Movement Worldwide and to foster unity. “This rebranding strengthens our shared mission to support His Excellency Peter Obi and ensures that all efforts align toward a singular, transformative goal,” Maigari explained.

The forum acknowledged Nigeria’s pressing issues, including a leadership crisis within the Labour Party. Despite these challenges, Maigari pointed to the resilience of the Obidient Movement. “This is a movement of integrity and conviction, transcending party lines and giving Nigerians a renewed sense of hope,” he said.

Highlighting the forum’s roadmap, Maigari outlined strategic actions to fortify the movement’s grassroots presence, engage the Nigerian diaspora, and build a robust political platform. “The time for talking is over.
