– Splashes Cash, Farm Inputs on Beneficiaries
The member representing Numan, Lamurde, and Demsa at the federal House of Representatives, Kwamoti Laori, has launched a three-day intensive master training workshop for constituents on entrepreneurship and modern farming techniques aimed at empowering his constituents with the global best farming techniques and to equip them with improved farming techniques towards improving their livelihood and ensuring food sufficiency within their communities.
The training that draws thirty participants from across the 30 wards that make up the constituency is said to have been designed to equip the trainers who would transfer the skills to others within their respective communities.
The lawmaker who was represented by the Commissioner for Rural Infrastructure and Community Development, Titus Solomon, said that given the country’s current economic situation, it is important that locals learn how to improve their agricultural yield and improve their local economy to reap the benefits from their hard work.
Kwamoti represented by Titus said his goal was to cause a radical turnaround in agricultural input and output and to take advantage of the wet season as farmers are set for the farming season to better the lives of the individuals within his constituency.
Kwamoti used the occasion to applaud the participants after a brief interface enquiring about what they had learned.
He encouraged them to ensure that the knowledge gained and inputs gifted were not wasted but put to good use.
He said, “Be committed to what you have learned and make it a duty to transfer it to your constituents so that the entire community benefits from the training.

“We brought you here with the mindset that you are a potential trainer and that we are training you as a trainer, so train others.”
Joseph Jaryum and Collins Visomenso, the two master trainers said the training covers key aspects of the agricultural value chain, including how to choose land, crop, or animal varieties, steps for preparation, nurturing, funding, value addition, and marketing of farm products..
“The training was also designed to address concerns around the subsistence nature of farming in local communities and to challenge the farmers to become agro-entrepreneurs.” The trainers explained.
The duo stressed that no land is completely useless and no crop is more valuable than the other but it all depends on how knowledge is deployed to ensure best practice. They call on locals to harness local resources within their location and apply proven knowledge and techniques to boost productivity.
Top government functionaries at the event include James Iliya, the Adamawa state commissioner for information, Amna Ibrahim Farai,
