The national chairman of the Obidients Movement Harmonisation Committee (OMHC) Comrade Joseph Enan Maigari, has called on all Peter Obi support groups under the umbrella of the Obidients movement to sheath their swords and follow the example of their leader who is committed to resolving the friction within the Labour Party and the Nigerian Labour Congress towards creating a united political front in order to save Nigerians from politicians taking the country for a ride.
Maigari said, the stance of Peter Obi has put to shame prophets of doom who had predicted that the LP flagbearer in the 2023 presidential election would soon leave the party.
Maigari made the remarks in a press statement made available to this medium Tuesday.

The statement reads:
Today, His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi, reaffirmed his stature as a steadfast and incorruptible leader, worthy of admiration and emulation. His exemplary response to the attempted invasion of the Labour Party Secretariat by the NLC has once again demonstrated his exceptional leadership prowess. With unwavering resolve, PO declared that his threefold agenda is reconciliation, reconciliation, and reconciliation. He is steadfastly navigating the situation, and his stance serves as a beacon of inspiration for all Obidients.
It is evident that there are no lingering issues between Peter Obi and NLC/Bar Julius Abure, as he has expressed his willingness to collaborate with anyone committed to the party’s future. This development is a resounding victory for Nigerians at large. The Commander-in-Chief of the Obidients Movement has unequivocally affirmed his loyalty to the Labour Party and his readiness to work in tandem with its leadership.
As faithful Obidients, it is imperative that we align ourselves with our leader’s vision and embrace peace and reconciliation. The time has come to sheathe our swords and embrace neutrality, following our commander’s lead. The Obidient family must recognize that there is no conflict between Obidients and the Labour Party, nor between LP and PO. It is time for total reconciliation.
During the last presidential election, the NLC Play their part to provide PO with the necessary support, and therefore, their demand for Bar Julius Abure’s to organize all inclusive Congress .
PO’s media address has clarified the situation, and all Obidients must now follow his example. The enemies of PO have been shamed, and the Obidient Movement’s peace and reconciliation initiative has been vindicated as a vital tool in the obidients movement harmonization process.
We must now put aside our resentments and come together as a united family to capitalize on this victory and secure a triumphant outcome in 2027.
We have read some puerile statements of some uninformed neophytes on the decamping of Mr Peter Obi to an imaginary party that the purveyors of fake news are yet to tell us.
For the upteenth time Mr Peter Obi is not leaving the Labour Party and he has reinstated that in different press releases stating that he is for the unity of the party, due process, adherence to the party constitution and reconciliation of aggrieved party members. We have therefore, elected to lend our voice to the topical issue thusly.
Peter Obi is a full-blown and conscious and consenting adult. He is not a character to be led by the nose by anyone no matter how highly placed in Nigeria, or anywhere else.
Mr Peter Obi has been very conspicuous in the political history book of Anambra State. He had occupied positions of trust and responsibilities either as elected representative or appointed into very crucial offices in Federal Govt at one time or the other, where he exuded capacity and intellectual confidence to the point of a role model for the OBIDIENT MOVEMENT.
He thrilled his fans with sound reasoning and erudition in the last election that his followership threatened the establishment Politicians.
Being a thorn on the flesh of the ruling APC and main opposition Party PDP , efforts have been intensified since the last election to get him over to add value from the parlance of the PDP rather than continue to rock the boat through profound opposition stance.
BUT he has consistently maintained his position to build Labour Party together with the stakeholders and the OBIDIENTS MOVEMENT..
Against the risk of being read as chronicling his biography, I will summarily say that Peter Obi is a National figure in Nigeria’s politics. Not even the naysayers will disagree with this proposition.
MR Peter Obi took the risk of porting into the Shadows of LP Nigeria in the Last election.
He didn’t mind if he wins or lose, he took a principles decision .
As typical of Politicians who know their onions, Peter Obi doesn’t support the politics of animosity and enmity and disunity. He is purpose ~driven and a result ~oriented strategist. He has, on his own volition, decided to remain with the Party he sacrificed a lot for in the last election .
It is most thoughtful, and very commendable.
What the OMHC will ask Mr Peter Obi to do is to advise him to call both NLC and LP Executives for a meeting to fashion a way out of this political stalemate.
To the doubting Thomases, we announce again that Peter Obi remains member of LP.
We enjoin him to bring to the fore, his vast experience in Party building as well as his profound commitment to the growth and development of Nigerias politics.
Long live the Obidient Movement!
Long live our commander-in-chief, HE PO!
Long live labour party.
NIGERIA WILL RISE AGAIN
