Senegal, the defending champions and surprising group leaders of Group B, Cape Verde have become the first two countries to qualify to the round of 16 after two group games.
The due got a maximum six points to go top of their respective groups leaving the rest of the teams to battle out for the available qualifying spot in the group.
Based on the point garnered by Senegal, and cape Verde with just one group game to go, it has become mathematically impossible for all the other teams in the group to reach six point already earned by the two top teams, hence their qualifications.
