A senior secondary (SS2) Student of Sabilur-Rashad Academy Secondary School in Yola, Adamawa state, one Abdulllahi Tukur Abba, is said to have been brutally beaten to death by the men of operation Farauta in Yola, Adamawa.

The young man, Abdulllahi Tukur is said to have been beaten to death after he was arrested by men of Operations Farauta on the suspicion of stealing a mobile phone,

Reporting the incident, one Rayyanu posted on social media, “I am presently shading tears while writing this post. I am very angry, furious, sad and frustrated to announce to the public that our student, who is by the name; Abdullahi Tukur Abba was extrajudiciously, mercilessly, and brutally beaten by men of the operation Farauta, resulting in his death.

“He was arrested on the suspicion of stealing a mobile phone, although it was not confirmed by a single eye witness or subjected to a legal or judicial process in court.

“The management of Sabilur-Rashad Academy is saddened by this bizarre incident of human rights abuse and is sending its heartfelt condolences to the parents, family, well-wishers, staff of Sabilur-Rashad Academy; especially the form master and the students of Sabilur-Rashad Academy Yola.

“May Allah SWT forgive his shortcomings and grant him Jannatul Firdausi. Ameen thumma Ameen Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum.”

Although there has not been any official response from government yet, it remains to be seen how this act of brutality would be dealt with by the Gov. Fintiri led government.”

Operation Farauta, is a joint security operations set up by the governor Fintiri-led government at the onset of his administration in order to crack down on violent crimes in the state.
