The Adamawa state Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has further relaxed curfew imposed on the four local governments of Yola North, Yola South, Girei and Numan to 12 midnight to 6 am.

This was made known in a press statement issued by his Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, Friday, in Yola, Adamawa state.
The statement reads in part, “The Adamawa State Government has further relaxed the curfew imposed on residents of Yola North, Yola South, Girei and Numan Local Government Areas.
“The curfew will now hold between 12 midnight and 6 am across the affected four Local Councils.”
The Governor had imposed the curfew on Sunday following looting at government warehouses perpetrated by hoodlums.
According to the Governor, “People are free to move around from 6am to midnight. However, operations of Keke Napep will be allowed only from 6am to 10pm until further notice.
“We need to continue to talk to ourselves, and we need to advise and implore some of our citizens that are still using social media to instigate criminality to desist or face the wrath of Law.”
While urging the citizenry to abide by directives of the government in order to maintain Law and Order, he said security agencies will continue to mount checkpoints and carry out stop and search.
Governor Fintiri appealed for the cooperation of residents of the affected areas to maintain Security, Law and Order.
