– Over 10 Cultural Troupes, Numan Political and Business Class Graced Makondo’s Civic Reception

Imburu town was a beehive of cultural activities as about ten cultural dance groups drawn from various cultural representations of Numan local government. It was an occasion hosted by Numan the community to mark the “Triumphant Return” of Hon. Dr. Pwamwakaino Makondo, to represent the constituency at the state House of assembly. It was a hard fought battle and hard won election after the election dragged into a rerun before Makondo finally emerged winner .

The grand scale of the celebrations was to a large extent a reflection of context of the victory leading to the emergence of Hon. Makondo as the member representing Numan.

While addressing his teeming supporters at the occasion, the Chief celebrant, Hon. Pwamwakaino Makondo thanked the citizens of Numan for their commitment and dogged fight to ensure his victory at the polls. Mokondo assured his constituents of Numan that the faith they reposed on him will not be in vain. Makondo said, “I am grateful for your kind support and belief in my ability which you clearly displayed at the polls.

“You fought hard for me, I will in return fight hard, smartly and well for you. I will redouble my efforts to ensure every good thing our people deserve come to Numan.”

Speaking at the occasion, the Homotokai Bachama, Chief Pithon Power, congratulated Makondo for a well deserved victory. He also used the occasion to challenge the law maker to strive harder to serve his constituents.

Also speaking at the occasion, the permanent secretary, Ministry of Entrepreneurship Development, Mr Henry Bagume, commended the lawmaker for his effort and for serving his people and also charged him to look for opportunities to do more.
