The standard flagbearer of the People’s Decpcratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has called on INEC to immediately released the results of the govermorship elections in Adamawa and to immediately declare the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri the winner of the March 18th election.
The former vice president said the results of the 20 of the 21 LGAs announced so far has placed the candidate of the PDP in commanding lead and INEC cannot tamper with the will of the people.
Atiku made the remarks during a press briefing in Yola, Adamawa state.
Atiku said, “The results released so far shows that PDP governorship candidate has won and even if they decide to use their doctored results, the candidate of the PDP will still will.
“Adamawa state has been a very peaceful state and we have conducted our elections peacefully but INEC attemptong to cause disaffection among our people.
“I am using this moment to call on all Nigerians and the international community to observe what is going on in Adamawa especially how INEC is trying to upset the peace we have in the state.”
