Adamawa LP Guber Candidate Collapses Party Structure for Tinubu

Barely two days to the presidential elections in Nigeria, the Labour Party governorship candidate in Adamawa, Umar Mustapha Madawaki, has pledged his loyalty to the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Umar Mustapha has called on all Labour party faithfuls in Adamawa state vote massively for Bola Ahmed Tinubu for president and ignore the presidential candidate of his party, Peter Obi.

Mustapha made this remarks at a press briefing, Thursday in Yola, Adamawa state.

Umar Mustapha said since he joined the Labour Party, the entire hierarchy of the party has been disrespectful to his ambition and have consistently made it a habit campaign only for Peter Obi as president and urge all its members to vote for the PDP candidate, Gov. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri as governor.

Mustapha said, some members of the party have been going round campaigning only for Obi and informing everyone that the party has no governorship candidate in the state.

He lamented that he has not enjoyed any form of support from the party from the national level or the state level.

Umar Mustapha said, “It is in the light of all these that we entered into discussions with APC and after exhaustive negotiations, have decided to collapse our entire structure into the APC structure for the presidential elections.

“I call on all my supporters, therefore, to go to the polls come Saturday and overwhelmingly vote  Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

He however clarifies that he will continue to pursue his governorship ambition on the flag of the labour party but will not support the ambition of Peter Obi and called on all his party faithfuls to vote for Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
