Trouble has broken out among Peter Obi’s party faithfuls in Adamawa as the Coalition for Peter Obi zonal Coordinator, Joseph Enan Maigari has described as shameful and embarassing the level of greed and corruption displayed by some members of the leadership of the party, naming one of the Chieftains of the party, Hon. Shanti Sashi as to have colluded with some party members to derail the campaign of Peter Obi in Adamawa state state. Maigari said, that as Campaign coordinator of the southern zone for Peter Ob, they were denied the requisite funds to put together he put together the event despite huge amount released by both the party and one of the party’s chieftain, Babachir David Lawal. He insisted that the success of the visust of Peter Obi was due to the passion and commitments of the youths despite deprivation and huge risk at their own expenses According to Maigari, “We all won’t be quiet in the face of massive corruption going on in our Party with regards to mobilisation funds.

You can’t be on the streets or engage in door-to-door campaign for OBI/DATTI with your personal resources, and not be worried that 10 million from former SGF and 60 million was released from the LP national to mobilize Youths for the rally in Adamawa and it was pocketed by shameless few individuals who brought their corrupt tendencies while decamping to LP. It is grievously harming OBI/DATTI campaign objectives and we youths from all wards in the state under the Peter Obi Movement condemn that act of sabotage by these questionable characters who constituted themselves as cabals.”

He explained that, “It is disheartening when you look at elders who should be role models to youths in moral consciousness to be seen engaged in immoral acts that’s capable of destroying the momentum of victory for the movement. We won’t just quiet about it. We will express our concerns and grievances and we want it addressed immediately.

“In a banana republic, big politicians are gods. They are not gods because they are bullies who arbitrarily ride roughshod over moralities and decide the fate of men. They are gods because sane citizens adopt them as idols they protect, promote and worship.

“It’s the willful mass abdication for serfdom that propels the transmutation of an ordinary unscrupulous and thieving charlatan like Mrs SHANTI and his bandwagon into diety.

“Why should our elders and co be more powerful than the state chairman, the PCC chairman in the state that he would be the one in charge of campaign/mobilisation funds that their agenda is to siphon it.

“A committee was formed of 9 each in each senatorial zone and that mobilisation funds will be given to us to mobilize Youths for the Tuesday rally not knowing that it was a ploy of deceit. No money was released yet youths are being arrested, locked up and some even charged to court for offenses they didn’t commit. Their only offense is supporting Peter Obi. But those charged with the responsibility of catering for these passionate youths went on to siphon funds meant for the actualisation of Nigerian’ dream and New leadership order to ensure a Nigerian Dream is possible. And Nigerian promise of pursuit of happiness is possible.

“I am part of the southern senatorial committee . No one naira or kobo was released. We got no funds but we used our personal funds to mobilize. We did what elders should be doing while they were siphoning funds meant for the campaign. They went shopping and partying with monies meant for the people for mobilisation. They must give account of the money since they didn’t use it for mobilisation.

“This is a show of shame by Mrs SHANTI l and members of her evil cabal. They were to share this money to the wards support groups but they didn’t. We want the funds to be audited. No one got any funds for mobilisation except some greedy and their fellow corrupt cabal.

“The youths are currently disenchanted with involved as the memories of the scandal that see to his removal from office of some cabal is beginning to rear it’s ugly head again with their recent siphoning of mobilisation funds meant for the Youths and members of LP.

“We the youths in ADAMAWA have studied their misadventures in other political party and what led to their exit from the party . They shouldn’t come to LP to come and display such kind of politics and corruption to hear. They lacks character and their agent of destabilization.

“If they has electoral value wouldn’t have allowed them to leave their party.

“I appeal to all our passionate youths not to be weary nor discouraged by the evil acts of few of our corrupt leaders to derail the purpose of our campaign and movement.

We remain committed and vibrant and we will ensure that we deliver victory in the State for Peter Obi.

“I urge you all to go and collect your PVCs and tell your loved ones to fo the same. The change is here. Let’s vote out those who are holding the Future of this country hostage.

“Going forward we want campaign and mobilisation funds to be decentralized and monitored for transparency and accountability from HIS EXCELLENCY MR PETER OBI which I promised to present our plight.
